PRODUCTION CHEMIST
Quality Control - Co-ordinates all aspects of lubricating oil raw materials and finished products analysis. Accuracy and precision of recorded analytical data is key towards enhancing customer satisfaction.
Equipment calibration - Ensuring proper equipment performance and validity of recorded analytical data through calibration using certified reference standards leading to reduced products reworks and cost.
Equipment precision monitoring -update of Statistical Process Control Charts (SPC) and taking appropriate corrective actions thereby promoting continued operations and meeting production targets.
Packaging materials - Pre-receipt inspection of packaging materials, collection of packaging materials supplier’s performance data, and maintenance of inspection records aiming to minimize product leakages.
Formulation optimization –Timely update of lubricants formulation base oil ratios resulting from new receipts and change of tanks to improve first time blend efficiency.
Maintenance of laboratory records– Updating laboratory records in hand / soft copy.
Production process service function –Release of analyzed product for filling, follow-up on in-process sample quality through testing/inspection of first, middle and ending samples to ensure nil products related complaints.
Customer focus: Ensure that both internal and external customers get their certificate of release and certificate of quality (COQ) within the shortest time possible to avoid any delay in the process flow.
Cargo imports verification-Analysis, inspection, and release of raw materials (base oil, additives) and products and comparison with the load port certificate of quality before offloading.
ISO 9001:2015 internal audits-Annual audit in various departments, stations and depots as assigned by the quality manager representative.
