Laboratory Assistant
• I performed laboratory analysis of the samples acquired from the suspected bush meat dealing offenders: DNA extraction from blood, skin tissues, FTA cards, elephant and cheetah fecal and also from arthropods like ticks, mites and tsetse fly. • I prepared positive amplicons for shipment to sequencing facilities in Kenya, Germany and South Africa.

• I performed sequence editing and phylogenetic analysis using Geneious, BioEdit, Mega X and ClustalX software platforms.
• I trained personnel on the various laboratory daily routine such as the decontamination, extraction, PCR analysis among others.
