Assistant Quality Assurance Manager
- The company manufactures metal crowns and plastic closures for use in food industries.
- The company has been certified to ISO 9001, 14001 and ISO 22000 management systems.
- The quality assurance role involved implementation of control measures to address significant aspects, control measures for the environmental management plan, coordinating the waste management processes, monitoring of the utilities for instance use of water, electricity consumption, use of LPG, printing inks, industrial solvents.

I was the QMR for the ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 9001:2008 and in-charge of Quality, Occupational Health and Safety as well as Environmental Management Systems. The company was also ISO certified and awarded Kenya Bureau of Standards; Standardization and Diamond Marks.

Quality and Food Safety Management Systems Consultant
The project involved establishment, implementation and documentation of both systems at KTDA Managed
tea factories in Kericho.I was the resident consultant for the seven factories.
The tea factories for the project were Tegat, Momul, Litein, Kapkatet, Kapset, Mogogosiek and Kapkoros.
The project was completed in September 2007.The factories are certified to ISO 9001 and 22000
management systems.
Quality and Environmental Management Systems Auditor and Trainer
- Auditor for Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2004), Quality Management Systems
(ISO 9001: 2000) Certification as well as surveillance audits. - Carry out Functions as documented in the company’s BMS

Quality Controller

- Coordinating and assigning duties to a work force of 8 quality assurance staff in four departments
namely detergent, soaps/ cosmetics, sulphonation and plastics. - Carrying out quality tests for incoming raw materials, returned goods and products for local and export market.
- Laboratory work especially analysis, interpretation and dissemination of the results.
- Customer care and improvement of existing standards and packaging materials.
- Boiler water and effluent water analysis. Sampling and testing of the effluent waste parameters including total dissolved solids, BOD, COD, pH and other parameters, liaison with contracted waste disposal service providers. The types of waste handled were mainly solid waste, hazardous waste, electronic waste.

- Analysis of crude palm oil ,bleached oil and refined bleached oils and fats before and after packing.

- Laboratory analyst duties involved analysis of the crude palm oil, the refinery process and test of the finished products
- Inspection of packaging materials, sampling and testing of effluent water, liaision with waste service providers.
