Commodity Inspection - Oil, Gases, Chemicals, Minerals, Agricultural commodities, Vehicles.
• Perform accurate and timely cargo inspections and reporting while acting as the liaison between SGS and Clients
• Controlling stocks and updating both manual and electronic stocks register
• Attending to tank dipping, temperature measurements and sampling of petroleum products
• Attending to loading and discharge superintendence of Crude Oil, Gasoil, DPK, Mogas and Fuel Oil.
• Monitoring vessel arrival through KPA and Shipping agents.
• Attending to physical stock taking and reconciliation of quantities
• Attending to cargo outturn surveys and custody transfers
• Supervising Junior inspectors and ensure they carry duties diligently.
• Monitoring Vessel arrival through KPA and Shipping Agents
• Attending to Vessel draft surveys, Vessel cargo hold’s surveys, container surveys, bulk cargo surveys and break-bulk cargo inspections
• Attending to cargo damage surveys and pre discharge cargo inspection
• Attending to Vessel loading and unloading supervision of bulk and break-bulk cargo
• Supervising bagging and check weighing operations at quay during vessel discharge
• Physically tallying of bags ex-slings into trucks
• Supervising discharge of Agricultural products (wheat, maize, barley, rice) and Mineral cargo (fertilizer, soda ash, cement, coal, clinker, gypsum and salt) from vessel
• Receiving into warehouse and loading out bagged Agricultural consignment
• Monitoring weight of bagged products through weighbridge
• Attending to tank dipping, temperature measurement and sampling of vegetable and petroleum products
• Attending to cargo outturn surveys and custody transfers
• Attending to physical stock taking as and when necessary
• Advising customers at the point of intervention regular progress of the inspections as may be required
• Preparing, timely accurate inspection reports on completion of field work
• Preparing payments vouchers for clerks hired to assist in field activities
• Preparing invoices for work done
